Latest Project:

NuScale Standard Plant Design Project Engineering Support

In a multi-year project engineering support role, we developed and implemented a new workflow and deliverable exchange processes to support the design of a NuScale six module plant. The implemented solution allowed for the efficient review, comment and secure exchange of deliverables to meet crucial milestones for the company. The tools developed allowed for automatic transfer and notification to all parties that were required to provide input on over 12,000 deliverables.

Configuration Management of Designs for SMR Designs at NuScale

Developed and implemented a new configuration control process including new procedure and revised existing processes, required training, and alignment with Design Control requirements.

This was accomplished while maintaining the existing configuration management system through the design certification process. Including running a weekly engineering change board meeting to ensure design changes were approved according to Design Control requirements.

Specialized Rigging of Shutdown Cooling Heat Exchangers at ANO

Developed the specialized design and worked with the specialized rigging vendor, Mammoet, to remove the heat exchangers from the basement of the unit.

Under strict regulatory and site oversight, the rigging evolution for 4 heat exchangers was successful. The upfront design package development and approval was a specialized effort which facilitated third party reviews and recieved excellent scores from Plant Review Boards.

Spent Fuel Storage Site Expansion at Columbia

Project Management and Project Engineering to lead the design and implementation of an expansion of the existing ISFSI Expansion in Washington.

Project included a specialized concrete mix design, security features, and daily support of field construction to ensure quality standards were met,

Radio System Replacement Fast Track Design and Implementation at Columbia

In order to prevent substantial daily fines from the FCC, this project engineering effort produced six design change packages in a short amount of time.

The entire plant and security system was updated and the fines were never enforced against the plant.

Plant Temporary Modification Process Development, Training, and Rollout at Columbia

To prevent an INPO corrective action for control of implementation of temporary modifications to the plant. A new temporary modification process was developed and rolled out plant wide with specific training for all departments.

The INPO corrective action was removed at the next inspection.

Main Condenser Replacement Project at Columbia

Project engineering lead in supporting the effort to replace six condenser modules which required significant structural changes to the turbine generator building, specialized rigging, contractor oversight, daily field support and inspection, and oversight of performance testing.
